Dr. Nicole Cain graduated from Marshall University in 2001 and completed medical school at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in 2005. She went on to complete both her pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. She pursued additional training in pediatric electrophysiology at the Medical University of South Carolina and joined the MUSC faculty as a pediatric electrophysiologist in 2011. Dr. Cain's academic interests include cardiac arrhythmias such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW). Dr. John Rhodes is a pediatric and adult congenital invasive cardiologist. He received his medical degree from The Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina, completed his residency in pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina, and a fellowship in cardiology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He also pursued additional training in pediatric and adult congenital interventional cardiac catheterization at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Rhodes has recently returned the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston as the operations director for the Congenital Heart Center and as an interventional specialist for children and adults with congenital heart disease. Dr. Carolyn Taylor's clinical interests are in the areas of pediatric cardiac imaging, fetal echocardiography, and assessment of cardiac performance by echocardiography. She is currently on the cardiology faculty at Medical University of South Carolina where she is the medical director of the Pediatric Echocardiography Laboratory. This includes performing, interpreting and teaching fetal, transthoracic, and transesophageal echocardiography in all forms of congenital and acquired heart disease in the fetal, pediatric, and adult congenital populations.
